Helen GA Camping – Sleepy Hollow Campground

I found the neatest little riverfront Inn in Helen Ga. the following weekend. It’s termed Hofbrau Riverfront Hotel.

For starters, that hosts were very warm, off home, together with friendly. Your rooms especially the bathrooms were extremely clean. The bed sheets and towels were all crisp, clean, and had an alternative from the dryer scent.

The location could not have been more adequate. The term Riverfront in the name is deserved and needed with the Chattahoochee River running just below the rear concrete patio of everyone in the room I was staying in.

Being the avid trout angler My organization is, I opted to jump out on the river right behind my room and try my luck for some minutes before taking off to get hold of some dinner. Properly luck was there. Within about thirty minutes, I had caught my limit of fresh rainbow trout without even required to wade down the river. Needless to say, this changed my dinner plans.
I have found the perfect camping spot just past Helen Ga. It’s called Sleepy Hollow. They could not have come up using a better name. The name fits that mood, and by all means air.

I can remember growing up as a kid camping out on my close friends aunts farm down in rural Southern Georgia. The Sleepy Hollow Campground brought me back to those very fond memories. The campground is located on a mix of huge open fields with a lovely mountain view surrounding the pasture areas. There is so much open green space only at that campground, that one literally feels like they have an entire farm to themselves.

If you’re a fisherman, you will want to visit this campground just for the huge private lake that is under-fished, and slap full of a few huge large mouth bass. The great part is each time I have ever fished here; I’ve never seen more than two other people fishing at a time. If sitting out at a nice quiet mountain lake till the wee hours of the morning with a lantern and sportfishing for catfish grabs your fancy, next this place fits the bill. You can sit out here as late whenever you want, and fish till your hearts and minds content.

The old folks that own and operate this small private owned campground are true down to earth Southern country folks, and the type which you could sit around the camp store, and just talk to for hours.

The Sleepy Hollow Campground is usually just minutes from excellent trout sportfishing in Helen Ga., and just a few miles later on in life are two of the best lunch places a camper could ever require, one is Aint B’s, and additional is the breakfast buffet at your Unicoi State Park lodge.

Really easy to implement say I truly enjoyed staying at this campground, after about 10: 00 pm hours, all I could here was crickets, bullfrogs, and also the rippling of the mountain stream going by my tent. The environment took me returning to a happier time, and all your facilities were just modern enough with regard to comfort, yet rugged enough to give me the feel of a true wilderness camping experience.
