Geenwich V Mall Development
The Far East Organization is building a new mall, The Greenwich V, which will serve over half a million residents in the Seletar area. Greenwich V will also provide for the growing expat community in the Seletar Airbase and Seletar Aerospace Park area close by. Greenwich V site is located on the junction of Seletar Road and Yio Chu Kang.
The Greenwich V will be a two storey retail podium offering 45,000 sq ft of retail space. The design will be modern and green and sources say this will be a -chic- facility with features such as a central piazza with open air dinning, alfresco style, and children’s play areas. Greenwich V and Seletar Aerospace Park
The Far East Organization have planned for Geenwich V to serve both the surrounding communities and the growing industrial communities which are expected to bring in an additional 10,00 jobs through the Seletar Aerospace Park development, just north of the mall site.
Seletar Aerospace Park, a JTC development, covers 300 hectares and, excluding the foreign investments into construction, is touted at being a $60m program. With such names as Bell Helicopters, Rolls-Royce and other leading manufacturers investing in Seletar Aerospace Park the total investment will far exceeding several Billion dollars which represent a real boost for Singapore’s local and the regional economies.
Greenwich V retail space
There are 35 retail spaces planned for Greenwich V to cater for to usual consumer needs. You’ll see Guardian, Cols Storage, local food court operators, Kopitiam and 7-Eleven amongst the new lease holders. There will be local businesses such as hair salons, wind shops, educational facilities and local medical services too. You can also expect a good selection of F&B outlets to make Greenwich V a mall worth visiting.
The Far East Organization are also planning to build a Condo, surprisingly named -The Geenwich- to compliment the new mall and deliver an overall vibrant lifestyle to this new destination. If you’re work keeps you busy around the Seletar area or if you are just looking for a break from the bustle of the business district down near Marina Bay, then it’s worth taking a look at The Greenwich and Greenwich V developments.
Travel times from Greenwich V
Travel time from Greenwich V into the city, I can tell you from experience from Seletar Aerospace Park, is well within 30 minutes, off peak times, by road (CTE) and with the MRT no doubt similar or shorter.
